the PSG moms came in with their masterful hands to turn our Princesses into Dancing Queens!

EPPS 15th Anniversary Celebration, 24th July 2010

EPPS PSG members were invited to the school's 15th annivesary celebration on the 24th of July 2010. The event was graced by our Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Teo Chee Hean. EPPS put together an impressive program lineup and an authentic historical set including tentages and walkways, homes of yesteryears. There was even a multi racial weddings line up. EPPS students performed a period drama outlining our past and leading to the present. It was a excellent performance by our students. We can totally relate on how as Singaporeans we have progressed and moved on with the times. EPPS students has successfully engaged the audience and moved them with emotions reminiscing the past. What was show it was! EPPS has come a long in 15 years! Well done! We are proud to be part of this school.

How do you cultivate the love for reading in our children?

You read to them of course!

Two of our PSG mums would take time off from my busy schedule to come in and read to our P1 and P2 students in the school hall during the school's contact time every Wednesdays between 12.45pm to 1.30pm.

That will be the time, the teachers and school management team will have their weekly meetings. In order to keep our young ones engaged and entertained, these 2 mummies, Auntie Lani Choo and Auntie Shanti will come in and read to them the most interesting stories which keep the students asking for more.

It is such a novel idea and everyone enjoys story telling time.

It was to be our very first Jumble Sale and it turned out to be a success in many ways than one. We are so heartened by the support and encouragement we get from PSG members and other EPPS parents, we had more than expected donations of items for sale and to top it up, there are many more parents who gave their children money to support our jumble sale.

The PSG members were in full force to help out with the packing, cleaning and also selling the items. We had a huge donation of books and toys, these items kept coming in.. even to the last day of the sale.

The proceeds of this jumble sale will be used for PSG driven activities in favour of the needy children and all other students of EPPS.

Thank you EPPS parents, it really shows the solidarity in us. We can only become stronger and more effective in our efforts to better support the school activities.

Award Ceremony, 14th Nov 2008

On the 14th Nov 2008, EPPS management and staff awarded PSG members with special handmade tokens by teachers to demonstrate their appreciation for PSG efforts and support in 2008.

It's followed by a reception where PSG members get to meet the Principal, the Vice Principal, SAC members and the teachers.

Compass Merit Award , 1st Nov 2008

The National Advisory Council, COMPASS (COMmunity and PArents in Support of Schools) was established in December 1998 to advise the Ministry of Education on ways in which home-school-community collaborations could be strengthened and promoted.
Presently, COMPASS is chaired by the Senior Minister of State for Education, Ms Grace Fu. COMPASS draws its members from the various stakeholders representing parents, self-help groups, alumni and the business community.

Congratulations to Elias Park Primary School for being awarded the Compass Merit Award for the year 2008!

The biennial PARTNERS Award, which was instituted in 2002, to recognise efforts made by schools in promoting and strengthening collaborative partnerships with their stakeholders such as parents, the alumni, School Advisory Committee/School Management Committee (SAC/SMC), community groups and business organisations.
