This is so because most of our parent volunteers are the mothers of our students. What's even more special about that is that these mothers has developed a strong bond and keen sense of camaraderie amongst ourselves. In the process of rendering our time for the school, we have had alot of opportunity to network and get to know each other very well.. almost like a sorority of sisters.
Therefore I think it is appropriate at this time of the year to give a tribute to some our moms who has contributed so much to the parent support group, the school and all the team members.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all our PSG members as well as all the EPPS Moms out there!

Featured Moms
Mdm Susan Koh

She is a mother of four, Linus aged 17, Winniline aged 14, Bentley aged 10 and Sean aged 9. She also have 2 dogs, Moon and Oscar and 12 hamsters at last count.
This lady is the epitome of a superwoman. She cooks, drives her children to school and back, she bakes yummy cakes and cookies, she volunteers at school and she keeps up with her dancing lessons and power walking in the mornings.
She is always willing to help a friend in need and is a source of comfort to alot of us in the group. She's very kind and generous to a fault.
There is also another side of Susan which makes her even more outstanding is that she is an enterprising lady. Ever the keen learner and on- the- go type personality, she single handedly sourced products, worked out the costings and product codes for the Mother's Day Fair. She even took the trouble to source for products in Malaysia so that we are able to better value products and pass on the savings to our students. That's how dedicated and thoughtful she is.
She's a wonderful friend to have and a loving mother to her children. Thank you for all your help and dedication Susan, for without you, the Mother's Day Fair and Jumble Sale will not be as successful as we expected.
The good news is.. she will also be the EPPS SFE Coordinator which will ensure a further tighter collaboration between school, parents, students, teachers and the community.
Susan was appointed as the Secretary to the Committee and also Leader for Special Projects in 2009 in recognition to her past efforts and contributions to EPSP.PSG.
Mdm Rahimah Bte Asmore

We are very happy to have her appointed as Vice Chairman for the PSG in 2009.
That's what makes this mum of 5 so special. All 4 of her older children are in their 20s, the last child was a " surprise" as she put it. Her daughter who is still studying in EPPS is only 10 years old!
But as she enjoys children and loves giving back to the community, she continues to volunteer at school, teach children who are weak in Malay and also teaches Malay as a CCM teacher to other primary school as well.
Rahimah takes pride in being a good mother and wife. When she commits to doing something, she give it her all. She always do her best in whatever she does. Rahimah is so cool that she's voted the "Most wanted future mother-in-law" in the group!
What is most memorable to me was her act of kindness during our Teacher's Day concert last year to a bunch of students. These students had low self confidence, they weren't doing well academically and didn't think they can make a difference. They were not attending rehearsals and not serious abt the performance. Just like everything else in their lives, they think it wld be a failure.
However, Rahimah persevered, encouraged, counselled and even feed them to show them that they can do something to show their appreciation for their teachers. In the end, some dropped off but most stayed and did their performce and did well. These students went on to do their PSLE and moved on to their respective secondary schools.
I think what we did was to give them encouragement and restored their self confidence. That was very special indeed. We gave them faith that someone really care for them. These students went to her house uninvited after the performance.. she invited them in to her house, feed them and welcome them like family.
When I asked her why she did that? She said.. " Yvonne, these children....they are always left on their own... all they need is love." Spoken like a real angel.
