Hi Partners

On behalf of my colleagues and all pupils of Elias Park Primary, I would like to thank the EPPS.PSG and all parents who have in one way or another made our Racial Harmony Community Carnival and Elias Park Primary Open House such a resounding success. Thank you for your unfailing support for all that we do in the school. It is truly remarkable and inspiring that our parents are ever willing to lend us a helping hand in all that we strive to do.

To Yvonne, Helen, Susan, Maple, Zubaidah, Juriana, Rahimah, Rohani, Jenny, Vathana, Michelle and Raymond, our humble thanks to you. My colleagues and I are deeply touched by your passion and commitment, so evident on 30 June 2007 and throughout the year. Thanks for always being there for us =)

Cervical Cancer Workshop & Aromatheraphy Talk, 21st July 2007

It was a lovely way to spend a Saturday morning. We learn more about cervical cancer, the Papillomavirus and about the vaccine that can help prevent infection if young females are immunised as early as 9 and up to 26 years of age.
On the lighter side, there were lots of other activities to keep both mothers and daughters to indulge and experience. It was certainly a lovely bonding time for both mothers and daughters.

Why we choose EPPS for our children

It has been 6 years since we registered my elder daughter, Grace for Elias Park Primary School (EPPS). When we looked back, it has been a wonderful learning journey for her and all of us in the family.

Grace had a very smooth, relax and fun start at EPPS. She enjoyed all the big and small events organized by the teachers. She has been blessed with wonderful, creative and committed teachers since P1. Although some of them are no longer at EPPS, she still remembers them dearly. Ever since she started learning the Chinese musical instrument- ‘Sheng’at P3, it enriched her CCA with more excitement. She went on 2 music journeys to Beijing with the EPPS Chinese Orchestra in P4 and P5. The latter was her first solo trip without any family member’s accompany. She also participated in various competitions, performance, SYP central judging and rhapsody with the EPPS Chinese Orchestra. All these activities gave her excellent exposures.

Now, my younger son is in P2, he is having even more fun than his sister. With the mission of ‘Teach less, learn more’, his learning experience is really interesting and exciting. Trip to the airport, supermarket and walk about in the neighbourhood…etc are part of his curriculum.

Selina Lee
Parent of Joseph Yong 2L

Why we choose EPPS for our children

We actually moved from Blk six hundred plus... tobe at 519, just because, we prefer my firstborn, Danish, to be enrolled into EPPS! I heard a lot from other parents that Elias Park Pri won many awards.
We have not been disappointed at all. It's great to have my kids studying in EPPS.

Besides, the convenience of the location being next to our house. The boys are very disciplined, very innovative, very well-informed, intelligent, not only in their studies but also well-trained in other skills too.. I have the confidence that my kids will be a well-all-rounder , being nurtured at EPPS, with the current holistic programmes lined-up for them.

Teachers are also aiming the same perspective.. The best of course, EPPS PSG! Its really meaningful for me, to have a dutiful role in the school, which on the whole, benefits my kids, myself, and EPPS too!.. Made many new friends in fellow mothers, the bonding, the laughter, and, the fun we always have ,having one aim in our hearts and mind..

Faiza Ab Rahman
Parent of Danish Harith 3H
& Danial 1P

Why I choose EPPS for my children

The reason why we choose EPPS was mainly because of its proximity to our flat.

We noticed that the school has certainly change for the better under the guidanceof Mrs Wong. We have more dialogue with teachers now (thru emails, briefings & meet the teacher ssession). Before, there much less interactions with the school and teachers. Parents are now being informed of theschool's vision, updates and milestone of the school projects. The school have good and caring Form-teachers.

Best regards,
Ying Kuan(mother of Patrick Heng P4 Kindness
& Eugene Heng P2Diligence)

Ladydeyria's Cupcakes @ EPPS Racial Harmony Day Celebrations

Elias Park Primary School is very proud, having hosted, Racial Harmony Day Celebrations on 30 June 2007.
We had many more proud owners, of the beautiful PSG's, Sunshine of My Life Notebooks, on that day.. They were very happy people, and, they were also given, delicious-dark chocolate, or, super-strawberry cupcakes with every purchase of the notebook.
As promised, here are some of their beautiful pictures with their lovely notebooks, and, tasty cupcakes.. Thanks for your support! We truly appreciate it, parents! Thumbs Up!

PSG supports EPPS Racial Harmony Day 30th June 2007

It was a fine, sunny day, from 8.00am EPPS was abuzzed with activities with people setting up booth and preparing for the myriad of activities ahead. Children in bright ethnic clothes were running around having a great time as they know that it w0uld be a day full of fun and laughter.
PSG members started setting shop as early as 8.15am, mums came with freshly prepared cupcakes, chocolate chip cookies, brownies, Indian Muruku, Malay kueh-kueh and chinese delicacies such as yam cake, glutinous rice and steamed lapis. These delicacies has been specially prepared for our visitors at the open house.
These mums all decked up in their best ethnic clothes and brilliant smiles to show support for EPPS Racial Harmony Day. There was a lot of cheer in the air. It feels like we were celebrating some festive occasion but its not quite Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Deepavalli or Christmas.. it is nonetheless as festive and happy occasion as parents and children from different races get together and have fun dressing up and enjoy a uniquely harmonious blended occasion.
It is indeed a joy to see the "One people, one nation" at work. It is truly remarkable how Singapore has achieved its unique Singaporean identity.
EPPS PSG members are honoured to have a part to play in this year's Racial Harmony Day. Twenty-six PSG members were at hand to man the PSG stalls and other designated stalls as well support other activities such as VIP visit and manning the Antique Shop.
Special mention must go to several people who made this event memorable for PSG. I'd like to thank Diana for her undying commitment and devotion to PSG to the extent of learning to make glutinous rice and yam cake in 48 hours so that she can sell them at the event and also being the main coordinator for the event. Thanks to Helen Chee for helping us design and make the beautiful Sunshine of my Life signage without her talent, our booth will be rather dull. Thanks to Faizah for baking the 100 delicious cupcakes for Sunshine notebook sales, these cupcakes were so tasty, my kids and I were fighting over them!Check out the cupcakes on her website! http://ladydeyria.multiply.com/photos/album/27
Thanks to Susan, Maple, Zubaidah,Juriana, Rahimah, Rohani, Jenny, Vathana and Michelle for helping to bake, coordinate, run the stalls and manage the monies and stock. I really need to thank our super sales PSG Dad Raymond who helped sell our Sunshine notebooks and cakes.. he was very industrious! Thanks to all the parents who came to help( I can't possibly list of you here but you know who you are) and give their time, braving the HOT weather! I am deeply touched by your commitment and support for PSG.
The event went smoothly and was was very well attented. The crowd had a great time with so many activities going on. There's so much to do and just not enough time to do everyting!
Kudos to the Jeremy Ang and EPPS organising committee for doing such a great job at organising this event and PSG is very happy to be a part of this event.
