Tropical Night, 25th Mar 2011, 5.00pm to 7.00pm

EPPS PSG organised the Tropical Night as an event to bond with the EPPS teachers. What better way to bond than over food! In this case, PSG brought in a full range of fruits for everyone's consumption.Hot favourites like durians, longans, bananas and jambu ayer were brought in. Everyone had a great time sharing the fruits and also chit chatting with one another in an informal setting.

This is yet another successful event organised by the EPPS PSG and demonstrate the strong relationship that we have with our teachers. It was certainly a YUMMY gathering!

Father's Love, Past and Present Drama Skit cum Theatre workshop, 19th Mar 2011

Father's Love, Past and Present
Drama Skit cum Theatre workshop
“F ather’s Love, Past and Present” is a familiar story that many fathers would have experienced. Since time began, fathers learnt from their fathers. Values and traditions are passed down from generation to generation. As times change, can fathers still rely on these parenting tools? In “Father’s Love, Past and Present”, we tell a story of real life issues in light hearted way.
“ Father’s Love, Past and Present” is a 4-hour workshop (inclusive of a 30-minute drama skit) that creates a safe platform for father and child to communicate issues that would otherwise remain unspoken, as well as the opportunity for fathers to dialogue with each other their fathering triumphs and obstacles.
Facilitators will be using techniques from psychodrama, playback theatre and drama to surface deeper issues and topics that are difficult to vocalize. The process allows participants will review and reflect their thoughts and feelings, hence nurturing deeper understanding and empathy between father and child.

The event was well attended and we had fathers coming in enthusiastically to spend time with their children. They had such a wonderful time together and all wished to come again should such event be organised again. All we can say is that we are going the right direction getting the fathers more involved in their children's lives. We certainly have a bunch of dedicated and supportive parents. The pictures itself speaks a thousand words. Well done!

P3 and P5 Parent workshops for Science, Maths and English subjects conducted by EPPS, 19th Feb 2011

P6 Motivation Card, Oct 2010

As parents, we would always wanted to motivate our children to do better. What better way to have a personalised card from us to our children to motivate to work hard and do well in their PSLE. That was exactly what PSG did. We organised for lovely cards (above) to be made by our own PSG members and we gave it to each and every one of our P6 parents to write personalised message to their children in preparation of 2010 PSLE.

With such encouraging words and support from the the Parents Support Group certainly act as a boost to our students to do better for their PSLE exams. Kudos to the PSG for coming up with such a great idea and for our parents who wrote inspiring messages for their children.
